The following video shows John Arnold playing a fingerstyle version of "Yesterday" on five Wicklund guitars. The first is the birdseye maple OM-13, the 2nd is the Claro walnut OM-11, the 3rd is the Claro walnut Dreadnought DR-12, the 4th is the East Indian rosewood Dreadnought DR-10, and the 5th is the Palo Escrito OM-9. All of the guitars have Sitka spruce tops except for the OM-13 which has a Carpathian spruce top. The video clips were synced with high quality audio tracks recorded at Red Rock Recording. For those interested, the guitars were recorded with a Neumann U-47 Tube into a Martech MSS-10 preamp into Apogee converters and into ProTools. The video clips were edited together in iMovie into a single song video, with a seamless transition between clips. I think you will find this to be an interesting comparison of the sound produced by different back and side woods and body styles.

The following is a similar tonewood comparison video with John Arnold performing his own arrangement of the hymn "Tis So Sweet". The order of guitars is: 1st is the Claro walnut OM-11, 2nd is the palo escrito OM-9, 3rd is the birdseye maple OM-13, 4th is the Claro walnut DR-12, and the 5th is the East Indian rosewood DR-10.
